Stand-alone devices for tactile speech reception serve a need as communication aids persons with profound sensory impairments well in applications such human-computer interfaces and remote when the normal auditory visual channels are compromised or overloaded. The current research is concerned perceptual evaluations of phoneme-based device which unique code was assigned to each 24 consonants 15 vowels English. phonemic display conveyed through an array tactors that stimulated dorsal ventral surfaces forearm.
